Facing Reality….
It’s been over twelve years since I started the blog 53weeks.org (see archives). Over time my attention to the site has waned considerably but my love for photography never has. The emphasis has changed significantly from the ongoing search for technological perfection to….. well what exactly?
…well to the imperfect and incorruptible quintessential process that is light captured in emulsion and then projected onto silver gelatin.
Although it’s fair to say that film photography was always an integral part of what I did, I have spent the last years building up my darkroom skills and taking pictures with cameras that were made and used before I was born (and that was a hell of a long time ago).
So here goes a new project without time limit, agenda, bias or need for justification. It is simply dedicated to my passion for people photography and my love of the analogue process. A special thanks goes to the people who have agreed to be portrayed here.
