In all the years I played the game, I don’t believe I ever once won the league or captained my team. Not bad for his second year of active club football!

Week 16 – Ibbtown
I had the pleasure of accompanying my son and his team to their first major football (that’s soccer for all of you across the pond) tournament this last weekend. We travelled across Germany to a place called Ibbenbüren where this annual event takes place. As you can see most mothers stayed at home!

Week 3 – Lytham and St-Anne’s-on-Sea
This was taken whilst we were still in England during a very enjoyable day trip to Lytham St Anne’s. We especially appreciated the excellent fish and chips and the chance to play football on the beach, two things that are a rarity for a family living in continental Europe.
