Looking on the bright side of things, at least I have a little time to develop my pictures at the moment.
Stay Safe!

The decision to travel to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur at the begining of February was not easily made. There were 30 odd confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Singapore when we left for south-east Asia, looking back 6 weeks later and Germany has just hit the 60,000 mark with the whole planet in dire stress…..
Looking back I think we maybe should have stayed down there!
Stay safe folks and take care!

The current situation allows me to get around to all the things I’ve been wanting to do for ages…… so here’s the first post in the Corona crisis.
Here are a few shots taken at the Luftwaffen museum Berlin which was formerly RAF Gatow until German reunification. There are lots of different aircraft and a lot of military equipment on view from both sides of the iron curtain.

Casting back to the summer holidays of 2019. These were taken on two trips to Porto and to Afife including the surrounding area (even with a day trip to Spain thrown in as well) . Well worth a visit if I may say so…..

If don’t do this everyday then you make mistakes. The girl in the gallery is a young Israeli soldier, I was so nervous that I made a mess of the camera settings and basically forgot everything I know about photography so the shot wasn’t as good as I hoped for.

I did have some qualms about taking pictures at the Western Wall, however I wasn’t there on the Shabbat and no one is recognisable so I don’t think anyone will be offended…..

Still lucky….

After a rather difficult period I’m rekindling my love of photography. Returning to visit Dubai has undoubtedly helped, offering me a host of different motifs that I just couldn’t resist. Watch this space for more from this place and elsewhere….

….the last trip of the year in fact.

….since I last posted anything. To be honest I’ve been searching (as ever) for a little inspiration for a new project lasting 53 weeks and I can’t seem to settle on that “one” subject. It’s not for the lack of ideas it’s just that that simply I don’t want to confine myself to one type of motive or one medium or one of whatever…..
Therefore the next few posts will be of things that I’ve been shooting over the past three months. While you read these I’ll be racking my brains for that new “one” subject…..
This is late autumn in Sanssouci….

I’ve amended my blog just a little to include not only the place I call home but also some of the more interesting locations that I’ve come across this blogging year. To kick this off I’ve found a place that couldn’t be more different from Brandenburg!

…again!
… again it’s the old Leica combination…..
…in Warsaw….
Here’s an ad hoc shot of Monique…
Just a quick shoot for a job application with a bit of a difference….
Meet Josef!
A few years ago after a press conference we held somewhere in Asia, an article was published in one of the local leading newspapers. It was mistakenly accompanied by a picture of me with the title “Dr. Rolf”.
Well I’m here to put the record straight, meet the real Dr. Rolf!
Untouched, straight from the lab…..
Autumn in Brandenburg….
There’s been rather a lot on recently, never mind here’s Martin.
Sorry it’s a bit later than usual. I’m enjoying the calm and relaxed run up to Christmas……. 😉
The Berlin Air Show has come and gone, thanks to the Turkish Air Force for a great display…..
The middle of Berlin, nothing more and nothing less……
I’m still playing catch-up having been away, so here are two in a week.
The first shot was taken in Raffles (Singapore) whilst enjoying an infamous Singapore Sling with my colleagues (they’re a good bunch – but don’t tell them I told you) during one of the few moments of relaxation.
The second picture is a snapshot of the Petronas Towers (Menara Petronas) taken on a flying visit to Kuala Lumpur.
This week’s picture is a tribute to a great Frenchman, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry both an aviator and a children’s author. Second only to that man Eric in French history…..
This was shot with kind permission of Verena under the plaque commemorating Saint-Exupéry in the Panthéon (Paris) during a recent business trip.
